Maintain a relationship with the people you meet: greet them, offer them coffee, be interested in them. By taking the time to establish a positive relationship, it facilitates dialogue when an unfortunate situation arises.

Establish agreements with people who sleep near businesses. The majority of people accept conditions (schedule, cleanliness) if it allows them to sleep sheltered from bad weather. Offer remuneration to people in exchange for services such as sweeping, cleaning or snow removal.
