The Toonie Campaign
The time has finally arrived! With all deadlines coming to a close, we are on time with the launch of our Toonie campaign. The commercial is shot and ready to air, the posters are printed and ready to go up, and the donation boxes are ready to be distributed and filled with Toonie's by all the generous people.
This being a major fundraising campaign, we are excited and confident that we will see results, not only monetarily but in the awareness of homelessness and our organization. As mentioned in a previous newsletter, we are attempting to expand our donor base and seek other funding resources. We are confident that this campaign will achieve and surpass our expectations.
The campaign has a simple thrust, asking for a “Toonie” and explaining what we can do with that contribution. It has the adaptability of being used in schools, businesses and in the media. With the slogan being…“The Benedict Labre House can feed cloth and support one individual in need for only a Toonie per day. So we ask you… How much is a Toonie worth to you?”
The first of two commercials will air as public service announcements, in English and in French. They will also be readily available online on our website.
