Supper Bowl Series
We offer a new initiative with a goal of bringing attention to the poor and the homeless of Montreal. It is an evening where we will provide a simple meal at a church, community center or school where staff and guests of The Benedict Labre House will be resource persons. Those in attendance will be encouraged to take their soup bowls home with them as a reminder of the evening and the issues touched upon. The bowls will have been painted by our guests and a small donation will be requested. The initiative is within our social justice commitment.
The supper bowl series has been most successful as a means of reaching out to individuals and groups. It has as well been an excellent opportunity for reflection on the issues of homelessness and poverty.
We invite any interested group of 20 or more to contact us with regard to setting up one of our supper bowls.
