Participation

Here is a list of TEN easy ways you can participate in caring for the needy in our community. Please choose one or more that you can do and then enjoy putting them into practice!

  • Donate new or lightly used men’s clothing for free distribution to the 200 men who use this service each month.

  • Collect non-perishable food items through your local school or parish for our Christmas and Easter food baskets.

  • Encourage your parish to host an annual Mass for Benedict Labre House. We will provide an information table and a brief presentation. A free-will offering would be appreciated.

    Participate in one of our fund-raising events such as a Car Wash, festival, baseball game or dance.

  • Donate toiletries such as razors, kleenex, tooth-paste, deodorant, soap for our emergency and Father’s Day baskets.

    Participate in a Meal Team once a year or more. Provide a hot meal for either 40 (weekdays) or 150 (weekends) people. Details and recipes are available upon request.

  • Volunteer your services for 2 or more hours each week... or during the busier holidays seasons

  • Put your name on our mailing list and hear about the many other opportunities to be involved at Benedict Labre House.

  • Support Benedict Labre House financially. We do not take government funding, our revenue comes exclusively from the community. English Catholic parishes, schools. foundations and individuals provide over 90% of our annual donations.

  • Pray for the poor and needy in Montreal.
